2nd day orientation at Singapore Polytechnic

am here to blog what happened in the 2nd day of orientation...We are supposed to meet 8am at the Singapore Polythenic Convention Centre(SPCC) as we are having the pagents contest 'The Mr and Miss Undercover'...I meet my friends outside the SPCC before going in,when there are quite a few friends reached there,we decided to go in to wait as inside there was air-conditioned and many students are crowding outside...Although inside there was also crowd but it was better since there is aircon..As time pass by,more of my friends came in to assemble as a class and at the same time,one of the faciliator came to take our attendence and at the same time wait for those latecomers to come before proceeding to the theatre in the SPCC...When everybody came,we take the escalator down to the ground floor and sit in one circle to wait to go in to the theatre...After a while,one of the facilitator from other class told us to go in and take a seat...We went in and when we went in,we are so shocked as the theatre was so big and spacious and quite high...we sit according to our course and DTRM students sit in the bottom left hand corner of the theatre,opposite us it was the DBFS(Diploma in Banking and Finance services),behind the DBFS,was DFI(Diploma in Financial Informatics) and DHRMP(Diploma in Human Resource Management Psychology),beside DFI and DHRMP,was DBA(Diploma in Business Adminstration),beside DBA was DAC(Diploma in Accountancy)...The pagents went to dress up and when they are dressed up,there are perfomances for us to watch,first to come out to perform was the wushu club and after which,the principal,the director of the School of Business and the chairperson of this event had their speech...By the time they gave their speech,all the pagents are ready to do their catwalk...Altogether,there are 47 pairs of pagents and the 1st round they will reject 27 pairs...My course and the DBFS keep shouting our cheers and competing them to be the loudest as the emcees said out the results...In the 1st round,my class emerged to the semi-finals....DTRM O6 ROCKS!!!After which,the guitar club came up and perform...The guitar club students play their guitar quite well and they coordinate well too...Then,the semi-finals pagents are divided into 3 groups,the 1st group are supposed to inflate the ballons using parts of their body as the emcees are going to let them choose the cards whereby the cards wrote down the part they are supposed to inflate the balloons...The fastest 2 groups to inflate are able to enter to the finals...The 2nd group,the emcees will give questions to the contestants to see if there are telepathy between them but they are prepared as our facilitatiors told the respectives classes about it...The girls stand in front of the stage are supposed to tell the emcess their answer while the guys stand behind to write down their answers...The emcees are quite shocked about it as all the contestants get it correct,then the next round of questions,still they get it correct and then the emcees give them another set of questions but this time round only 5 groups get it correct so they are given another set of questions and those 2 groups of contestants get it correct will be enter to the finals round...After that,it was lunch time and the facilitators brought us to the nearest place to eat as we had only 1 hour to eat..i shared hawaiian pizzas with my 4 frenz and bought our drinks at the 7-eleven...while my other friends had their lunch at KFC since there are only Pizza Hut and KFC there...After lunch,we went back to the theatre again as the 3rd group had not gone through the semi-finals...The 3rd groups are supposed to share their foods together,in front of them there are one banana,one bottle of new water,and one long pocky stick...My class was in the 3rd group...DTRM 06 ROCKS!!!Awesome!!!The 2 fastest group will be able to enter to the finals...Again,my class emerge to the finals round...Yeah!!!All DTRM students cheered for them...The 3rd performance was the hip hop dance...They were so impressive!!!In the finals round,the contestants stationed themselves at the stage staircase...When the emcees give the question,those who know the answer have to run up and shake the judge hand in pair and give the answer...When it was the last question,the judge ran all the way up to the highest level and my class was the 1st to reached the top and we answered correctly...The group had the highest scores will be the winner of the contest...My class had won the 1st...We were so happy and the DTRM students cheer out loud...DTRM 06 Awesome!!!After that,i meet Pei Xian and Wei Ya and I go separate routes from them as i took bus back home...That's all for 2nd day orientation...Good Night!!!
