First week of Lessons

For the past 5 days of lessons,i do enjoy the lectures and tutorials...For Mondays-Wednesdays,I start lessons at 10am and end around 3-5pm,Thursday start lessons at 9am and end at 4pm and on Friday,lessons start at 1pm but end at 5pm...Especially on Monday,I have a 3 hrs break...During all the breaks,my class would tried to dine together,chit-chat and attend lectures and tutorials together...For this week,all tutorials end early by 1 hr as the tutors just told us abt the assessment schdule etc...From the schdule,there are quite a lot of presentations...sob sob...I HATE presentations even character development module need to present...I HATE IT!!! For my course,I need to bring laptop everyday to school as tutorials need to use it often...My laptop is so HEAVY LAH!!!I should buy the light-weight laptop...I still prefer secondary school life where there are teachers controlling us unlike poly life...We have to print the lectures and tutorials notes ourselves,teachers give us a lot of freedom...There are no homework to do,I haven't been doing any homework for 5 months...hehe....Okie,nothing to post abt,shall blog later...Bye Bye!!!

Went to buy my long sleeved collared shirt

Yesterday,I wake up around 11am and then went to Sun Plaza at Sembawang to buy the long sleeved collared shirt for my course as every thursday need to be formal in our dressing...I went there by myself and when I reached there,I went to the Popular to buy the laptop bag for my laptop,it cost me $20.30 but after discount the price was $18+ and i could buy one more pen as I am using vouchers to pay...After which,I went to ViVi Collection to buy the long sleeved collared shirt as my sis was their member and I could get discount even my sis was not with me...They let me tried a lot of long sleeved,3/4 sleeved,3/4 shorts etc...Acutually,I intend to buy a long sleeved collared shirt and two knee length shorts...After trying all the clothes and shorts,i decided to buy a white long sleeved collared shirt,two 3/4 pants,1 casual shirt but unfortuately,the long sleeved collared shirt and the casual shirt were out of stock so I have to wait till today then go back to collect it...All these cost me $135,quite expensive but i like the shirts and pants that i bought...muhahahaha...I am broke,need to save money now!!!!sob,sob!!!After that,went to Jurong East Interchange to buy some food back home for my parents..I bought the $2 steam cakes,2 xia bing,$2 of goreng pisang,then went back home...Later,i will be going down to take my 2 shirts...That's all,shall blog later on...

Singapore Polythenic Annual President Challenge Flag Day

Today,i have to wake up super early as today is the Singapore Polythenic Annual Flag Day in support of President Challenge Day...I wake up at 5.45am as i meet my friend at Jurong East MRT track and we need to go all the way to our assigned area which is Bishan MRT station and need to reach there by 8am...My friend and I reach there on the dot and when we reach there,a few of my classmates had reached and then we wait for other classmates and facilitators to come...We saw quite a lot of our SP students almost everywhere of Bishan then we wait for our facilitators to come and decide where to go instead staying at Bishan...We suggest a lot of places but sure there will be SP students over there as this flag day is island wide...My friends want to go to the Macdonald to have breakfast first before heading to other places...Some friends and I wait for them(classmates and facilitators)to eat finish their breakfast before going out to ask for donation...We set off around 9.30am and some of the girls decide to go to Raffles while 4 guys decide to go to City Hall...We took a train to Raffles and when we reached there,there were also SP students station there so I walk with my two friends and we walk to Clarke...There were no people there so my friends decide to go for lunch as they are hungry since they did not eat their breakfast at the Macdonald..Iaccompany them to food court but i did not order anything as i feel bad about it as my tin can only got around $1.50...After which,my friends and I took a bus to Somerset and there were SP students too but we don't care so we walk down the streets and approach them for donations...Many people thought that we are raising funds for SP as the tin can wrote Singapore Polythenic Flag Day 2008 in support of President Challenge Day...The Singapore Polythenic Flag Day 2008 was printed big while in support of president challenge day was printed small...We walk all the way to Orchard then walk further down to Far East...We take a bus back to Dover Station as we meet other classmates at Dover station at 1.30pm...When we reached,there were groups of SP students sitting down waiting for their classmates to come... After which,the facilitators lead us back to School of Business and back to our classroom...Our classroom again occupied by the DTRM 02 which is Pei Xian class...My facilitator are little bit angry as this was the 2nd time students occupied our classroom so in the end we share the classroom...Our facilitators open the can and count the amount each person receive...I go so many places but i only managed to collect $21.60,the 1st time I raised so little...I already try my best...My class top collector is $176+,followed by $90+and lastly $43+...After that,we go outside the classroom and discuss whether want to go to the party at SP at the concourse...Since there are only a few of my classmates going so i decide not to go and i meet up with Murray at SP security guard house...Then,me and Murray walk back to School of Business to wait for Pei Xian as her class has not dismiss yet and at the same time wait for Wei Ya too...When Pei Xian come and meet us up we have a small chat as we still need to wait for Wei Ya to come and meet us...After meeting Wei Ya,we walk back to Dover Station and they take MRT back while I saw my primary school friend waving at me so i part with Pei Xian,Murray and Wei Ya...My primary school friend ask me what course I take and I tell him Tourism and Resort Management then he say to me it is the same as the girl standing beside him...To my suprise,she was my primary school classmate,we did not see each other for about 5 years,I was so happy that we can meet again and even in the same course as her...we take the same bus back home..At the bus,we chit chat till we alight...She alight before us then the next stop,I alight with my primary school guy and he told me that she was the top student of the normal academic in secondary school,she got 8 points for her L1R4 which is same as Pei Xian...I walk back home with the guy and part with him at my block lift,he stay opposite block of me...When I reach home,iI sit down and eat my late lunch and have a bath before going to sleep...That's all for today...Tmr I will be going to shop for my long sleeved shirt as i need to wear it next thursday...Tmr shall blog again...Good night!!!

Latop Training(SPICE Training)

Today,is our SPICE Training(laptop training) day and the shortest day of the orientation...I have to bring my 3kg laptop to school and i meet my friends at the Dover mrt control station at 8.30am...We have to reach the School of Business at 9am...My friends reached the control station at 8.45am,after that we walked to the School of Business and enter to MLT9...The lecturer was there so early whereby the students were late...When most students came,the lecturer start the training...When we switch on our laptop,the lecturer told us that we need not switch on our laptop as all the information can be found at SP website...When we heard that we were so angry as they ask us to bring but need not to use...The training was quite short and after that,our facilitators bought us to classroom as our teacher want to see us...After talking,our facilitators give us our t-shirt where we need to wear it tmr for our flag day and issue us the tin can...After that,i went to the POPULAR Bookshop with my friend to buy the Principles of Accounting textbook which cost me $20.50,so expensive lah...Then meet up with Pei Xian and we went to study corner and switch on our laptop to see if there is connection...We tried the Window XP Professonial,it is possible but when we try the Window Vista we could not as Window Vista is for personal use...After which,went home to sleep as it was so tired after the 3 days of orientation...That's all...Ihave to go sleep now as tmr have to report 8am at Bishan Mrt Station for our flag day..Bye Bye!!!

First Day Orientation at Singapore Polythenic

Yesterday,it was my first day orientation at Singapore Polythenic..I have to report 9am at the school of business foyer and i was meeting Pei Xian at the dover mrt control station at 8.30am as we do not know where is the School of Business building located...I leave home around 7.40am as i had to walk to the bus stop before my house nearest bus stop as only there then there will be a direct bus to Dover MRT Station...I board bus 105 and there was a short traffic jam at Clementi...When i was going to reach Dover mrt station,Pei Xian called me and told me that the mrt broke down at Choa Chu Kang and she could not meet me at 8.30am as she had to wait for her daddy to fetch her to go to Singapore Polythenic...I wait for her at the mrt station for a while and i msg Wei Ya to see whether i can meet her at the control station and she told me wat Pei Xian told me...Unfortunately,I called Pei Xian and told her i would like to check where is the location of the School of Business...I went to ask the security guard and ask for direction,once i know the location,i called Pei Xian again and told her that i know where is the location...She asked me to go first as she will be late and i went to the School of Business...When i reached there,there was quite a lot of students sitting down on the benches to wait for their friends while some are waiting for instructions to be given...At around 9.15am,the faciliators which was our seniors asked us to procced to the foyer to gather and search for our couse cum class...My class was DTRM 06!!!Awesome!And DTRM stands for Diploma in Tourism and Resort Management and o6 stands for my class number...For my course,there are only 7 classes and i am in the last 2 classes...sob sob...Pei Xian was in class o2 think should be better than me...And in this course there are more girls than boys...GIRLS ROCKS!!!My class there are 19 people including me,12 gals and 7 guys...Once it was time we went to MLT9(Lecture Room 9) for some introduction...We settled down and we asked for each other names and try to remember it since we are going to be classmates for the next three years...After which,the head of my course briefly introduce himself and welcome us to this course and told us that the intake for this year is higher which is around 140 students...Luckily,they increased the intake if not i will not be in this course since my aggreate score is 10 afer deductiong the 2 bonus point from CCA and this year the course cut off point is 11...After which,one of the lecturer who will be teaching us in year 2 or 3 told us about some of the rules such as 1 min late consider ABSENT and no slippers allowed in school if not there will be a fine of $50 etc...For my course,EVERY THURSDAY is FORMAL DAY where by we have to wear white long collared sleeved with black skirt or pants,wear court shoes,light make up such as light lipstick...After which,the EXCITING NEWS is we get to go to cruise and the cruise name is SUPER STAR AQUARIUS...We will be on the cruise for 5 days 4 nights and depart on the 8 june and arrive at Singapore on 12 june...We will be going to Penang,Phuket and Klang but of course there are some project to do...The actual cost for 1 person is ard $750+ but the school will be subsidising half of the cost and we pay around $370+...It is a COMPULSARY event...Shiok!Shiok!After all these things,we went to our class but unfortunately,our class is occupied by some classes anyway my class is T22433..Our faciliators,Joanna and Agnes,went to search for places for us to play ice breaker games and we settle down at the outside of the School of Business Ofice..We sit in a circle and the facilitators want us to introduce ourselves and at the same time we have to say out the names of our classmates before as from the start..Everybody was sighing as we are quite poor remembering names...I got all the 16 names correctly as 1 was the 17th...So proud of me...muhahaha....The other ice breaker game is wacko whereby one person will stay inside the circle and he/she was supposed to wack that person when one of us shout the other name of our classmate and so on...As there was not enough time to play other ice breakers game,we proceed for our lunch at Koufu,the only food court that has air conditioned..We followed the facilitators and there were large crowd as it was lunch time...The girls sit 1 table and the guys sit on 1 table and then proceed to buy our lunch.I had nasi lemak but the rice was sold out so auntie give me noodles and i choose my own liao(read in chinese)...I shared the noodles since my friend had no noodles as it was sold out too and she do not wish to wait for the rice to cook since we had limited time... After lunch,we went to MLT 11 as we are playing the games called "murderer and the suspect" wherby we had to go to the 6 stations to play games to get the clues to guess which is the suspect..Our 1st station,it involved two classes...we had to stand on the benches and the game masters asked us to stand according to our shorts length without stepping down on the floor...we had 2 rounds,one is the height and the other will be the shorts length...both class draw...2nd station is the passing of pumps using hands...It involved 2 classes,one of our classmate will sit next to the pail between the 3 pumps and 4 pumps while the rest of us stand one row and hold hands together and the game master will pass the pumps and we are supposed to pass around,when pass to the first person,the first person has to tell the game master in the fastest time,if correct the other group de 1st person will splash water to the other group 1st person..my class lose..3rd station,we went to the street soccer field,we will be playing the 'box game' where it involved both classes too...we had to guess which box to step if not the game master will use toy guns to splash us...mine class was the 1st to reached the other end..DTRM O6 Awesome!!!4th station,we had to tie our leg together to the next person beside you and our hands hold each other shoulders...we had to walk together and walk to the huula hoop without stepping outside the huula hoop...we coordinate and went through it...5th station,our class spiltted in 3 groups of 5 and 1 group of 4...my group first had to memorise the words that the game master give then turn 5 rounds then crawl under the table,one of us throw the water bag to the 2nd group and the 2nd group had to catch it using the garbage bag after which one person from the group had to catch the water bag using hands and then the 3rd group,one will throw the 5 ping pong balls at a time and one will catch it with pails with water inside and then the 4th group have to walk using hands..Last station,we make a circle and our mouth put 1 toothpick in the mouth and we are supposed to pass the rubber band to one another using the toothpick...After that,we proceed back to MLT 9 to gather together before leaving...After being dismissed,our class gather outside to dicuss who will be the class rep,assistant class rep,treasurer and how to dress up the pagents for tomorrow pagent contest.The theme was Mr and Miss Undercovers...We decided to dress them up as kampong girl and boy but the boy will do hip hop dance...After which,i went home as it was so tired after all the games i had played...That's all for todae,shall blog tomorrow about todae events...Good Night!!!DTRM O6!!!Awesome!!!

2nd day orientation at Singapore Polytechnic

am here to blog what happened in the 2nd day of orientation...We are supposed to meet 8am at the Singapore Polythenic Convention Centre(SPCC) as we are having the pagents contest 'The Mr and Miss Undercover'...I meet my friends outside the SPCC before going in,when there are quite a few friends reached there,we decided to go in to wait as inside there was air-conditioned and many students are crowding outside...Although inside there was also crowd but it was better since there is aircon..As time pass by,more of my friends came in to assemble as a class and at the same time,one of the faciliator came to take our attendence and at the same time wait for those latecomers to come before proceeding to the theatre in the SPCC...When everybody came,we take the escalator down to the ground floor and sit in one circle to wait to go in to the theatre...After a while,one of the facilitator from other class told us to go in and take a seat...We went in and when we went in,we are so shocked as the theatre was so big and spacious and quite high...we sit according to our course and DTRM students sit in the bottom left hand corner of the theatre,opposite us it was the DBFS(Diploma in Banking and Finance services),behind the DBFS,was DFI(Diploma in Financial Informatics) and DHRMP(Diploma in Human Resource Management Psychology),beside DFI and DHRMP,was DBA(Diploma in Business Adminstration),beside DBA was DAC(Diploma in Accountancy)...The pagents went to dress up and when they are dressed up,there are perfomances for us to watch,first to come out to perform was the wushu club and after which,the principal,the director of the School of Business and the chairperson of this event had their speech...By the time they gave their speech,all the pagents are ready to do their catwalk...Altogether,there are 47 pairs of pagents and the 1st round they will reject 27 pairs...My course and the DBFS keep shouting our cheers and competing them to be the loudest as the emcees said out the results...In the 1st round,my class emerged to the semi-finals....DTRM O6 ROCKS!!!After which,the guitar club came up and perform...The guitar club students play their guitar quite well and they coordinate well too...Then,the semi-finals pagents are divided into 3 groups,the 1st group are supposed to inflate the ballons using parts of their body as the emcees are going to let them choose the cards whereby the cards wrote down the part they are supposed to inflate the balloons...The fastest 2 groups to inflate are able to enter to the finals...The 2nd group,the emcees will give questions to the contestants to see if there are telepathy between them but they are prepared as our facilitatiors told the respectives classes about it...The girls stand in front of the stage are supposed to tell the emcess their answer while the guys stand behind to write down their answers...The emcees are quite shocked about it as all the contestants get it correct,then the next round of questions,still they get it correct and then the emcees give them another set of questions but this time round only 5 groups get it correct so they are given another set of questions and those 2 groups of contestants get it correct will be enter to the finals round...After that,it was lunch time and the facilitators brought us to the nearest place to eat as we had only 1 hour to eat..i shared hawaiian pizzas with my 4 frenz and bought our drinks at the 7-eleven...while my other friends had their lunch at KFC since there are only Pizza Hut and KFC there...After lunch,we went back to the theatre again as the 3rd group had not gone through the semi-finals...The 3rd groups are supposed to share their foods together,in front of them there are one banana,one bottle of new water,and one long pocky stick...My class was in the 3rd group...DTRM 06 ROCKS!!!Awesome!!!The 2 fastest group will be able to enter to the finals...Again,my class emerge to the finals round...Yeah!!!All DTRM students cheered for them...The 3rd performance was the hip hop dance...They were so impressive!!!In the finals round,the contestants stationed themselves at the stage staircase...When the emcees give the question,those who know the answer have to run up and shake the judge hand in pair and give the answer...When it was the last question,the judge ran all the way up to the highest level and my class was the 1st to reached the top and we answered correctly...The group had the highest scores will be the winner of the contest...My class had won the 1st...We were so happy and the DTRM students cheer out loud...DTRM 06 Awesome!!!After that,i meet Pei Xian and Wei Ya and I go separate routes from them as i took bus back home...That's all for 2nd day orientation...Good Night!!!

Went to pay respects to my ah ma,ah gong and ah zhou;Went to resturant to celebrate my Jie Fu daddy birthday

Yesterday,31st March,on the afternoon,my mum,sis,jie fu,nephew and I went to my nearby house market to buy the joss sticks,incense papers and all the necessary things then we went to Mandai Road there to pay respects to my grandma,grandpa and my great grandma...when we reached there we take out all the things such as fa kuah,3 packets of roast drumstick rice,3 cups of coffee,3 rolls of dou sa bing and then light the joss sticks etc...once we are done,my sis throw two coins to see if my ah ma,ah gong and ah zhou eat finish le mah...the 1st time she throw,they haven eat finish,we wait for a while and then the 2nd time she throw,they eat finish le so we keep the food then we went down to burn the incense paper etc...After paying respect,we went to my sis and jie fu hse as the tv set they ordered will be sent over and my dad went to her hse first in case the delivery man came early..My sis and jie fu had a bath first then we went home...At nite,we went to Boon Lay Raja resturant to eat as to celebrate my jie fu father birthday...we order pen cai,roast duck,chilli crab,fried man tou,steam fish etc...we went home ard 10pm...that's all...shall blog tmr...bye!

Went evening OuTing with Sis's FaMiLy at Jurong Point

On the 30th March,Sunday,my family stay at home looking after my 2nd niece and then during evening time,I went out with my sis family to Jurong Point...We went to Toy R US to buy toys for my nieces and nephew...We walk around to take a look at the toys and the kids run around too...My 1st niece bought a toy food set where u can 'cut' the food with the knife,my nephew bought toy pizza set and my 2nd niece bought a bag and inside there are small utensils and cutlery etc...Then,we went to Pizza Hut to have our dinner,we had Italian Fiesta Family meal and we add on 2 plates of sphagetti and 1 plate of drumlets...After that,we went to one of the Boon Lay hawker centre to buy 40 sticks of satays for my mum and dad to eat,then went to my nearby house market there to buy 4 packets of porridge for the kids since they did not eat much at the pizza hut,then we went back home to share the foods that we bought...That's all...

My 3rd Niece,Esabell Him Si En,1st month old celebration

On the 29th March,my niece having a celebration to celebrate her 1st mth old although the actual 1st mth is on the 28th march...My elder sis will be inviting us and her friends to her house to have buffet...Since it is in the evening time,my whole family went to the Causeway Point to shop first...When we reach there,my niece saw people taking FREE popcorns and she wanted to take too so she drag my father to bring her to the popcorn stall to get the free popcorns...After which,we went to Kiddy Palace to search for gifts for my 3rd niece,Esabell...Actually,it was me who wanted to search for the gifts since i did not give her any ang bao as i am still a student with no income...muhahaha...I bought a box of toys mainly for baby to play and 2 receiving blankets...I bought the blankets since my elder sis wanted to buy for her daughter(Esabell)...Then,we went to Courts to walk walk since it is still early...I went in and tale a look at the price of the laptop that i bought at school,Courts sell at this price,$2750...I was so shock as i bought the laptop at $1764.43,saved me nearly $1000...My eldest sis,eldest jie fu and I bought a mouse,my eldest jie fu bought a SONY brand LCD TV,it costs ard $1076...Then,we went to Esabell celebration...When we reached there,the buffet is ready...the buffet is nt normal buffet is international buffet which cost ard $800+...We went in to my sis room first before go out to take food to eat...We stay there till ard 7pm and then we went home..Apologise for not having any photos to see as my memory card is spoilt...

Going out with FaMiLy

Yesterday evening,my elder sisters,jie fu,nieces and me wait for our parents to come back home as it was my 3rd niece first month old...By tradition,we need to go relative hse to give them cakes,red eggs etc...As we are waiting,my sis help me to create a blog and i waited for my parents to come...They came back around 5.30 pm and at the same time my 2nd sis had to go to Causeway Point to meet up my cousin to give her the cakes...We went to IMM by my sis's car...We went to the food court to have our dinner...I had chicken cutlet,my mum and dad share pig organ soup,my sis also had pig organ soup,jie fu had porridge but shared with my 2nd niece,my 1st niece and only nephew had fishball noodles...my mum,dad and i shared ice kachang and my sis family had drinks...After that we went to Mini Toons,then when to Popular after which we went to our favorite place which is GIANT...hahahahahaha.....We went to buy shampoo,bath foam,2 packets of 5kg rice,3 packets of sugar,sushi,lots of lots of instant noodles and canned food,pampers for my nephew,milk powder for my niece and nephew,logans,apples,kuai ling gao,cheese...guess how much?it cost us $3OO...SHOCK?muhahahaha....1st time bought so much,usually we spent at most $200+.....after that,we went back home...When reach home,i had a bath and after watching tv for a while,i went to sleep....super TIRED!!!!

Celebrating Ms Ngiam's Birthday

Yesterday,i went to meet up Maria,Murray,Si Shi and Wei Ya to celebrate dearest Ms Ngiam birthday...We met 11am at the Jurong Point breadtalk and Wei Ya pass us the birthday card to write wishes...After which we went ard Jurong Point to decide what to eat and we went to 3rd floor the Crystal Jade to sit down and wait for Ms Ngiam to come...At the same time,we took a look at the menu and we decided to eat xiao long baos and lai mian...All of include Ms Ngiam had decided to have lai mian and two baskets of xiao long bao...muhahaha...mine is pork ribs lai mian and ate one xiao long bao....Yummy!!!Yummy!!!As we were waiting for our food to come,we chit chat...When everyone lai mian and the xiao long bao came,we started to eat...After eating,we took some photos,then Si Shi took out the flowers and gave it to Ms Ngiam...Suddenly,Wei Ya ask permission to go to toilet,we had a great laugh coz we thought we still in school having lessons and need to ask permission...Si Shi also went but actually,they went down to develop the photo and bought a cake...Then suddenly Wei Ya and Si Shi start to sing birthday song and we followed...When going off,i gave Ms Ngiam a small pillow case which i sewn it myself and took me one week to finish it...We went out of the resturant and i said goodbye to them coz i had to go back home for family outing at nite...hehe...i hugged Ms Ngiam and i went off to take bus 187 home...home sweet home...
